Unreasonably excited by the fact that in the last 24 hours I have sold my first two books through Amazon Europe, which means I now have (unpaid) royalties in three currencies! (The other two being pounds sterling and US dollars, in case you were wondering.) I have officially gone global!
The fairy who dares to be different
This was the title of a very nice piece about Hairy Fairy that the IW County Press carried this week (Friday 21 November). It doesn’t seem to be on the online edition, so for anyone who’s interested, here it is: County Press Article
Hairy Fairy in Bembridge today!
Isle of Wight residents who would rather not go down the Amazon route (or who just can’t wait 24 hours to get hold of a copy of Hairy Fairy) may like to know that I have gatecrashed the latest exhibition by my sister Charlotte Hodge Thomas in Bembridge today.
Hairy Fairy will be on sale alongside Charlotte’s vibrant paintings and prints at Lockslane Bistro from 10am to 5pm, with £1 from each sale going to the IW Chemotherapy Unit. Charlotte will also be donating 10% from all her sales to the Chemotherapy Unit.
Shooting up the Bestsellers Rank!
I am delighted (and a little mystified) to report, that after two days on the market and with sales yet to hit double figures, my book, Hairy Fairy, is now at 69,344 in Amazon’s Bestsellers Rank. When you consider the millions of books out there, that seems pretty impressive to me. The question is, will it break the elusive 60,000 barrier before Christmas?
Hairy Fairy: we have takeoff!
Very exciting day today as my book, Hairy Fairy, is now available to buy on Amazon!
Now the scary bit: will anyone buy it? And the scarier bit: if they buy it, will they like it?!
